As I get closer to pulling the trigger on a 433cmx I want to have all the ammunition I need for great results.I keep finding conflicting reports on interlaced vs. progressive scan dvd players for plasma.I have an old toshiba sd1200 interlaced that gives beautiful results with my old sony 32wega.Can I expect these same results with my plasma on should I get a progressive scan player much like the panny rp-82 i keep reading about?Does the rp-82 have the ability to switch its video output from interlaced to progressive scan? I plan on using component cables with rca to bnc adapters directly into the plasma. Thanks for any feedback Matt

Hi

yes there is a way to toggle between interlaced and progressive on the RP-82

recent DVD players have gotten better and less expensive and the progressive output can make a difference

I think you would see an improvement with the RP-82

btw- here is a link for a Crutchfield coupon (only the main $20.00 discount worked for me)
