Im purchasing a house with a theater room. Its all wired with 100" screen. Can anyone suggest the best projector 1080 to use that is a great picture, reliable and durable, and about $3000 or less?

Looking for one that can last a while before something goes out or change of bulbs...

I'm sure you'll get lots of suggestions and from reading this forum.

I just picked up the Epson 7500UB + 110" screen which produces a fantastic picture out of the box. It's black and comes with a spare bulb and mount.

The little brother is the 6500 which might be closer to your price range, but I opted for the 7500 for the value and reasons above.

One of the best projectors that I have seen for under $3000 is the Epson 7100. You may have a hard time finding the 6500 UB since they are not still making this model.

The 7100 is is a really good buy and will fit into almost any theater since it has a wide range of throw distance. Epson projecotrs are very reliable and the Pro Cinema series has a 3 year warranty. In addition to comming with a mount and spare bulb.

The ideal screen size for this projector is 100 inches.

The 7500 is a great route as well but will run more than $3000
