Hello, I am in the process of purchasing a house with a home theater room. It is all prewired with a Projector to the top of the ceiling.

I am on a budget but looking for a great projector that is good in resolution, quality and durable

I would like to hook it up to HDTV Verizon Zios and a HD DVD player.

If there is any other equipment I should get, please let me know...thanks!

Please help!

I just pulled the trigger on the Epson HC720. The prices are reasonable around $949 and there is a free bulb rebate until 7/31. It looks great for a good price. I does have one HDMI input so you made need to go through a receiver for a single HDMI.

Would be nice if you said what your budget was. Also lens to screen distance, steaing disance and height of gap between lens and top of screen.

Sorry..Im a newbie.

My budget is from $800-$2000. The room will mostly be used for watching movies and cable TV.

Its already prewired for 1 center, 2 loudspeaker fronts, and 2 top rears. All wires run into a closet. It will have a 100" drop down screen.

The room is 18 x 13. The longer side is where the screen will be facing. There will be 4 seating x 2, for a total of 8 seats. I want to say that the first row is about 8ft from the screen, then the 2nd row about 13ft from the screen.

The projector wires are on the top about 15ft from the screen. Currently no projector there so I dont know the gap from lens.

Any suggestions for a good quality (prefer 1080), good built, and one that I dont have to change the bulbs often.

Thanks.
