I am planing on a new DLP projector (Sharp z9000 or z10000) for a 25x16 dedicated HT Room (light controlled). Front vewing area would be about 12' from fixed 16x9 screen, planned at min. 100" diag. Ceiling is 92".

Here is the possible problem: At 9'2" back from the screen is an finished duct space which runs across the width (16') of the room. It drops 12" and is 51-1/2" wide. If I have to mount the projector on that drop with lens at front edge of the drop, at 9"2" that would only allow a 70" diag. screen according to the Sharp 9000 manual. In front of the drop would barely surpass a RPTV size.

Can I ceiling mount the projector behind the duct but lowering the projector from the ceiling to where the lens is just below the drop and the throw is not hitting the drop? If I can hit over 13" I can get to the minimum of the Sharp's throw to hit the 100" screen size.
