I'm putting together a HT which will not allow the projector to be mouted overhead from ceiling. That's the only way I've done them in the past. I've seen lit which showed a projector placed in cabinet between a row of 4 theater chairs.

Has anyone done this or can you point me in the right direction? Phil

There have been several posts on this. AVWH has his on the floor and it works fine. The problem is that you will have to deal with a little keystoneing (especially if you don't get a PJ with a generous lens shift, like the Z3 or AE700).

Can you get the projector at least a few feet above floor level? I am told that there is more dust in the atmosphere at floor level.

Also, have plenty of ventilation in the cabinet. I believe that a separate cabinet fan aimed more or less with the air flow of the built in fan should work well.
