Is it okay to power a projector the following way:

Wall Outlet > 12 Outlet Surge Protector(Receiver and media devices like PS4 plugged into this) > extension cord > Standard Power strip(lamp and power theater chairs plugged into this) > Short Extension Cord > Projector.

If not I have an outlet that nothing else is plugged into and a mini(one plug) surge protector that I could use solely for the projector.

Either way is doable but it's currently set up for the top situation. Projector is HW40ES if it matters.

Its most likely OK if all the extension cords are at least the same or greater size as the projectors power cord. If its a 15 amp circuit you could be close to maxing it out. Add up the wattage of every item plugged in to that outlet and any other outlet on the same breaker and see if they exceed the 1600 to 1800 watts a 110/120 volt 15 amp circuit can provide.
