here is an overhead view. I will be placing an av rack on the side wall and use floor wire covers to protect the hdmi and power cords. My cable is under my screen and I will need to run a long optical cable to my home theater that will be under my screen.

kumala...

how tall is your table that the PJ is sitting on? I see it must by pretty tall to be able to project over a sofa will people sitting on it.
it about the same height as the sofa, but I need to raise it up so if anyone is sitting on the sofa they don't block the projection.
I have the same problem. I'm moving in April and want to use a shelf based setup as opposed to a ceiling mount. I did a search and found what I consider to be almost the perfect solution. I've purchased it for under $200.00 and intend to place the projector either on the top shelf at 60" up from the floor or maybe even on the next shelf down which should still clear people's heads on the couch just in front of the stand. I haven't assembled it yet so I don't know exactly which shelf might be best but we'll find out.

I intend to also put my HD DVD and Blu-ray player on the stand along with my Butt-Kicker amplifier and possibly Yamaha Receiver.

Looks like the "Sanus Systems Efasii Audio Shelf" on that same website should work for what kumala needs.
i was thinking of getting that and placing that on the side wall. But it might be better your way.
I had been looking for shelf options for awhile and had some ideas, but hadn't solidified anything. I got a bookshelf as a Christmas gift and it is almost the perfect height that I'm looking for. I plan to place my projector on top of it. I didn't even know I was getting the bookcase, so this is kinda cool.
