ProjectorCentral does another major disservice in their latest comparative review of the AE700 and the Z3. Anyone who takes their reviews seriously or thinks they have any value at all does so at their own peril. First of all they provide no objective measured data in their reviews only eyeball assessments and impressions (always favorable). It has become quite obvious that Evan Powell just has absolutely no eye for detail. In his comparative review of the AE500 and Z2 he claims that SDE on the Z2 disappears after 1.15X times the width of the screen. Many people with good vision need to be 1.8 to 2X the screen width back. Now he is claiming that SDE is no longer an issue at all with the Z3: “…Due to the high resolution of their LCD panels and small interpixel gap, there is no screendoor effect on either product.†As far as I am concerned ProjectorCentral has lost all credibility and is nothing more than a mouthpiece for the projector manufacturers and his advertisers.

Any site that reviews anything is just offering up an opinion. You either take it at face value or don't, but I don't this guy would waste his time maintaining his projector databases just to be a moutpiece for some advertisers.

This review is already being discussed at great length in the official AE700 thread. No need for two threads bashing ProjectorCentral.

Reviews are just that.... one persons opinion. You can disagree with it but that doesn't make it wrong.
