I plan to purchase the Pronto 3000. What makes more sense, going with the RF option or with a IR repeater system to control my equipment which will be behind me(Receiver, DVD, CATV), above(projector), and to the side(Grafik Eye 3104)?
If you're only worried about the equipment behind you, either solution would work, although the RF extender would be the cleaner solution (no extra pyramids sitting around). The RF extender has four wired IR emitters for your devices behind you, and possibly could send IR to your Grafik Eye (depending on where it's located). Of course, the IR repeaters are the cheapest way to go. It all depends on your setup and if you have places to put the pyramids where they're not in the way.
also the Pronto is compatible with the X10/RS repeaters. So you can get the repeater and onlyuse half. But the RF base of the Pronto is better then the RF base of the repeater.
