I am hoping someone can clear up my confusion regarding the Dish 6000.

What are the benefits of it over the new receivers which are about to come out? In what instances will its inability to downconvert be beneficial? Will this possibly allow my to archive certain shows in the future that I might not be otherwise able to do? Can I install it myself?

What are the drawbacks? Will the Dish 6000 limit my ability to receive all of the available HD channels?

If I don't care about fancy program guides or speed of changing channels, etc., but only care about being able to receive a good HD picture, are there any drawbacks to the Dish 6000?

I would appreciate any help in this. I am new to HD and have been lurking here for a while. This is an issue that I am quite confused on.

Thanks.
