Interesting point about the Tunebite. I had not preferred to go that route, but interesting to know.
I was just curious if anybody can get any drm'd video across dlna streamed from the official client player or is it just something that iTunes won't stream out or is it a matter of using certain software built to address that specifically?
I agree that Apple has an agenda that results in this, but I would also extend the same suspicion to the likes of all protected downloaded video services- netflix, amazon, hulu, wm? It's pretty well analogous to just another format war (which goes beyond hardware or software) with content as the lure, and we are the pawns. Now if Sony could just get their downloads act together and blow open the variety of available content so I don't have to hunt around for tv show xyz amongst different services, I wouldn't be complaining. It would just come directly out of my ps3, and what could be easier than that?
