My set finally made it in today for me to pick up. It did not have the dreaded foam shadows in the lower corners. Out the box the pq was not too good. With the settings found on another site, they got the pq in the ballpark. I will be using my new DVE to set the set up once I come down from this Hitachi induced high.


I did run across something interesting when unpacking the owner's manual. On the cover there appears to be 2 models of 50V500s, 50V500 and 50V500A. My set is a 50V500A. I wonder what does the A designation mean?

The cover of my owner's manual has 50V500 & 60V500 only. I'm also curious what does the "A" stands for. Maybe you can e-mail CS and ask what's the difference between V500 & V500A.

I just sent CS an email inquiring into what the A designation is for. Hopefully I will get an answer in the next few days. I will keep you posted.
