If I play a 4x3 DVD on my PS2, the image looks correct in Native or 4x3 mode. In 16x9 mode, it is stretched, but the image fills my 16x9 screen. Pretty much what you would expect (and what I also get from my DVD and Tivo).

For some reason, my PS2 games seem to have a black border all around them. The border is visible in all 3 aspect ratios through the X1, so the viewable image is not as large as it should be. I don't remember seeing this on my 27" tube. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Thanks, Travis

I don't have a PS2 but if this border is at the edge of the picture then it is probably hidden by overscan on your TV. The X1 has a setting in the menu to turn on some overscan.. have you tried that?

Hi Mike,

I've tried the overscan, but it still leaves the black edges. We've got an LP130 at the office. I'll probably hook it up and see if it does the same thing.

(By the way, your X1 FAQ is great!)
