Firmware version 1.8 still has not addressed the BTB issue over component video.


Also, 480i/p material on Blu-Ray discs is not upconverted, this is one area that Sony still has to rectify. In addition, it would be nice if they would add the ability to zoom non-anamorphic content.


Other than the above issues, DTS-HD MA, and 720p to 1080i/p upconversion for PS3 games this update addressed most areas I'm interested in.

I hate to say it, but they don't care about you if you don't have HDMI. I wouldn't hold your breath. It sure sucks but they don't have any monetary reason to support it.
