PS3 1.80 update...Will it enable VOB/IFO playback....
Since it tentatively looks like the PS3 will have some networked media playback via the 1.8 update tomorrow, does anyone know if it will enable playback of IFO/VOB files?

Just so you know it... there is a LARGE thread under the BluRay forum about the 1.80 update.
I see that many users there are complaining about multiple threads about 1.80.
I'm not telling you guys to stop posting here, just pointing you in the right directions.
Anyway, it seems like the PS3 has gotten itself a real boost streaming wise.
But, knowing a little bit about ISO/IFO/VOB support in UPnP it should be possible (using Wizd). Check out the threads at least.

I have been browsing through all those zillion threads in various sub-forums but still have not found the answer to the OP's question.... Maybe someone can chime in a point us/me in the right direction????
I tried twonkymedia but was only able to play/select individual vobs, but no ifos, no menu, no navigation, no ...
WMP11 was a complete no-go..

Can you play HD .mpg and .ts files with a PS3 and the 1.8 update? I recall reading something that HD mpeg2 file playback was broken with a prior update.
