I have my 60gig ps3 hooked up via hdmi cable to my sony kv-30hs420 widescreen crt tv and when playing a ps one game syphon filter 2 I notice that the screen barely does not stretch fully around all four sides of the screen theres little black borders all 4 sides. Is this normal does anyone have this thing too?

A lot of PS2 games have underscan to compensate for the 3-10% overscan present in most TV's. Developers chose to save processing power by not displaying images that 99% of people will never see.
