PS3 Controller Underated?

We purchased a Wii about a year ago and have really enjoyed it. I have three younger kids and the "revolutionary" controller has brought a new found interest in video games. About a month ago a purchased a PS3 with the intention of using it for a Blu-Ray player, the only game we have is the one that came with it (MotoStorm) but I have downloaded several demos, one of them is a game with some ducks that you try to move down a drain. My daughter was messing around with the game and I hate to admit it but I had no idea that the new controller was motion sensitive and I was very impressed by how well it worked. I guess I am really suprised the PS3 doesn't get more credit for the ability of controller. I bet if you asked 10 people about the Wii the would know about how the controller responds to motion, probably not the same for the PS3.

that's why they call it, or market it, as the SIXAXIS controller.... the ps3 is a more adult oriented system (mature gamer) because you just hold the controller still while pressing the buttons... the wii is for those you can sit still just pressing buttons on the controller therefore aimed towards the younger (less mature gamer) crowd. Hey I went through that phase when i first started gaming on the 8-bit Nintendo system back in the late 80's... i'd sometimes try to flick my controller up while breaking a box with mario or steer the controller when playing "tyco rc".... as a casual gamer of FPS and racing games, i'd still prefer playing most games with the motion sensing off....
If you want to be really impressed with the controller, download high velocity bowling. I was very very impressed with it. Some people say it is comparable to, but better than, wii bowling.
The motion sensing feature is pretty damn cool. That being said, I really try to stick with 360 games because I greatly prefer the 360 controller. My hands are a bit bigger than average I guess... and the analogue sticks on the PS3 controller feel way too close. The 360 controller is a much more comfortable fit.

Luckily the PS3 controller does just fine for navigating through BR movies

The only thing I don't like about the sixaxis is the triggers (L2 and R2), they should be concave imho so you don't have the sliding problem.

+1
I think Nyko or whoever the manufacture is that makes those sport conversion kits for the Wii remote should focus on the PS3 and the sixaxis. I dont know why PS3 developers couldnt clone every Wii game it has.

+1 on your +1. concave triggers would be nice, or just have them not so sensitive. idk how many times i've handed my controller off to someone during COD4 only to let fly a grenade.
