Is there a PS3 version of this game available? I have a 40gb PS3 which cannot do backward compatibility. If not, are there any plans to have one that anyone knows of?

DDR is far from being dead in the USA. DDR/DDR2/DDR3 have all sold very well in the USA. I am surprized that DDR3 was not released yet on the PS3 as it was released a couple of months back. I have not heard weather or not it will, but it makes no sense not to. It seems that there are plenty of PS3 game pads, for PS3's that can do backward compatibility, but none for the 40G version. http://www.ddrgame.com/ps3ddr.html

So, last night I picked up DDR SuperNova2 and a Pelican PS2 to USB adapter for the pad. Hooked it all up to my BC 80g PS3, and it appeared to be working perfectly, but at times the music beat and the arrows are out of sync. It looks like there *might* be one PS2 title that will work correctly on the 80g BC PS3, and also it appears all the PSX versions work correctly on it. I don't know if it works better on the 60g, someone else will have to chime in. So, we are stuck using a used PS2 I picked up yesterday. It's working fine on it (obviously). It's a real shame I need ANOTHER console, but then I'm thinking now at this point I can have DDR, SingStar and Rock Band all going at the same time at my next party, so no loss there having 3 consoles

There is a bit of lag when playing PS2 games on the PS3. That might be why they were out of sync.

Some say it's only when using HDMI output, but I've read on the Shoryuken forums that it lags no matter the output. Some people can't tell though.
