So I haven't seen any posts on this in a while. Currently, what is the best PS3 IR remote solution that also includes Power ON and OFF commands? I don't want to use any Logitech harmony products unless they will work with nonHarmony remotes.

Afaik the Logitech PS3 adapter is still the only IR solution with on and off. Nyko makes a USB stick adapter but it doesn't have off iirc, only on. And even the Logitech adapter is actually doing a macro for Off rather than it being a single command, so I'm not sure it can work with non Logitech remotes.
