For what it's worth, my 500M and PS3 are set up like this:

PS3:

RGB Full Range (HDMI): Full

BD/DVD Video Output (HDMI): Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr

Kuro:

Video: Auto


There is a logical explanation for this. [I just don't want to exert the mental and physical effort to write it up now.]

Hmm... I wonder now whether my settings apply to all Kuros, including the OP's...

The PS3 has two modes, game and bd. The S550 is simpler. If you don't have or care about the YCC (YUV) Chroma Multiburst problem then YCC or Auto should be fine. If you have the probem and you care then RGB 16-235 should be used.

I have no idea what that chroma multiburst problem is. i recall i did set the S550 to auto on one of the settings, can't recall which .
