I bought a D-Link ethernet switch (DES-1105) in hopes of having all of my devices online, but my ps3 will not connect with it in the pathway. I have my Xbox360 and directv receiver connected through the switch just fine. I have swapped cables and have tested the ps3 without the switch and it works fine. What setting am I missing in the ps3 to allow it to work with the switch, if any?

For clarification my signal chain is:

modem->router->switch->xbox,directv,ps3

Not sure if you tried this but since you didn't mention it... Try swapping ports w/ 360 and then if at all possible cat5

I know the cable you have works when you bypass the switch, however I my whole house wired through a G-bit switch and I had the same exact issue. After re-crimping both ends it started working through the switch.
