After i install the otheros. self and the otheros.bld on the ps3 i switch it to the other OS and restart it. And i turns back on but it doesn't do anything at all my screen stays blank and it does not read from the Linux 5.0 DVD.


What can i do to fix the problem?

I already tried to re install the bootloader and it did not change anything.


Please help.

Try booting from the Gentoo Live CD as a test.


BTW, the Gentoo Live CD comes with 3 custom compiled otheros.bld files that each boot the system in a slightly different manner. They were created to work around problems that could occur if the kboot.conf configuration file on the hard disk became corrupted.


So you might have luck with another otheros.bld file, depending on what's going wrong.

What resolution does your screen support btw? For you need at least 720p for YDL to work.

Gentoo works on 480i, FYI.
