Define PSN? You talking chat, the store, ...? Its a tad sluggish creating or joining chat but no worse than my 360 was. The store has issues from time to time but my time there isn't much so no biggie. What is downright maddening is the record feature not recording what I set or getting corrupted. Such a cool feature I can't use. Used to work... Otherwise I think things could improve but the baseline isn't frustrating at all.

i know that party chat is much more stable than live ever was. i used to get kicked all the time in xbl party chat, but never happened with psn.. it has issues, but not sure by "less stable"..

Don't forget about the NAT chat incompatibility issue we have occasionally. Extremely untimely and irritating.

I don't think the OP could define "PSN" in a meaningful way. If I get lag in a game of BF4 and leave it and get into a lag-less game, then later play AC4 online with no issues- do blame/congratulate Sony and the PSN?

Yea the OP terminology is a bit vague was just curious if he had specific heartburn. If I get lag in BF I blame EA/Dice, any other game the blame goes to Sony but this isn't often

Lo I still think your NAT issues are when your kid chats too. That might be resolvable on your router but I'm not sure.

Could be. I'd have to google it.

He party chats with his friends on his console, I party chat with my buddies on my console. Usually no issues.

He joins our party chat. Major NAT incompatibility issues with others in our party.

Solution: Me telling him, "Don't join our party chat!"

Have you opened your ports to give your ps4 priority? I was having issues trying to join dc universe until I opened my ports. Not only did it fix that, but also seemed to increase my speeds.

All ports open, PS4 set to static ip, hardwired and 50/15 connection.

Issues usually happen when we're in the same chat lobby.

FIFA head to head is a direct connection, not dedicated server, that is on the op's connection or that of his opponent.

Depends on what he's playing. But matchmaking in FIFA is terrible. I frequently get matched up with Europe and South America.

Which is an EA issue. This gets to my point. everything that happens outside of one's router is not the PSN or XBL.

He's playing head to head, so no, it doesn't.

Depending on where you live (for example, east coast/Europe and southern US/South America), ping times to Europe and SA can be quite good. It does seem that several EA titles have issues matching up people in Brazil to NA which I have seen mentioned in the BF4 thread.

Regardless, blaming PSN for any of this is so ignorant that I have to think the OP is just trolling.
