PT-50LC13 ; Screen brighter in certain parts.

This is not normal. My 50LC13 has uniform brightness across the screen.

Mine also is fine - uniformly bright. I do, however, see a roundish spot (a few inches across) in the middle of the screen that is lighter when the TV is off. It's not all that obvious and it is not apparent when the tv is on.


I do notice that when I first turn the tv on that it takes a minute or so for the bulb to reach it's full brightness.

It's interesting every one seeing this round spot in the center of the screen. I noticed it the first day and determined it is cause by my ceiling fan light. Turn off the light and the spot is gone.

If you go up close to the tv and look down on the screen with a light shining on it you can see what this spot is. There are marks that appear to go in a circle and in the middle of them right where the spot is you can see what appears to be a small hole. Interestingly, some people say they have this spot and others do not. I'm not sure how some don't have this spot as I'm assuming it's part of the way the screen is designed. The only way that I can see the spot with programming on is when sitting less then 4 feet away with light directly on the screen.
