I just got both of these and am very impressed...


I have one question though, on the SA3250HD settings, you can choose pass thru, which passes 1080i, 720p etc without any conversion or Upconvert2, which converts 480i to 480p and 1080i to 720p. Is it better to let the cable box convert the signal to 720 or pass it thru as is to let the TV convert it?

I think the most common answer to this question is which ever has the better scaler, if the SA3250HD has a better scaler than the 50lc14 then you should let it do the scaling or it could be the opposite where the TV has the better scaler. The only way to find out is try it both ways and see which looks the best in your eyes, although I do think that most people prefer to let the SA3250HD pass thru an untouched signal and let the TV do all the scaling.

Thanks, thats what I thought, but I wasn't sure if the cable box had a better scaler or not. I figured it didn't since its an older model than the Panny.
