PT-AE700U - DVD Player Recommendations.

Is there a consensus on which upconverting DVD players work well with this projector? Over at the DVD player forum, there is much excitement about the new Phillips (the 5982), which handles 1080p and features a USB port for only $65. But one user posted that it delivers a better image at 1080i than 720p on his 720p projector (not the Panasonic). And that got me thinking: isn't the best match for my projector a DVD player that delivers an outstanding *720p* signal? If so, I would be surprised if it has not been discussed here before. I'd love to hear other user's thoughts and experiences.
