Hi,
On occasion, only while playing DVD’s, a single pop comes from what sounds like the center channel, but it could be coming from the mains as well. It does this on non-uniform, but approximately one minute intervals and sometimes comes in pairs about a second apart. It seems to be session dependent. In other words, on a day when it is going to do it, it will happen on all DVD’s I play. On a day when it won’t do it, it won’t do it on any DVD. I always play movies at the same loudness setting on my pre amp. It has never happened while listening to music on a CD player. A Sony VPH-1272 is always on when the DVD player is in use. The system has been in this configuration for about 7 months and this just started about 3 weeks ago. The pop kind of sounds like a static discharge. It happens during quiet scenes as well as loud ones. Any ideas would be helpful.
