The remote on my PV-HS2000 will not control my unit. It works fine on my TV. The remote is sending out a IR siginal in the HDR mode but it apears to be the wrong codes. Not all the buttons put out a signal. It worked fine last night. Does the remote have a reset code or any way to reprogram it?

Try:

1 Press and release REPLAY device button

2 Press & hold SET|UP until LED flashes twice, then release

3 Press 9-8-7, LED will flash twice

4 Press 0-0-0-1, LED will flash twice


This is the procedure for restoring the replay codes.

Try this: Pull the batteries for 20 minutes then put them back in. Worked for me a few times. If that fails there is some info in the FAQ that explains how to reset and reprogram it.

Once in a blue moon the recorder itself fails to respond to the remotes signals. Unplugging the recorder for a moment sets it right again.
