Hey,

I would like to know if any of you having a NEC VT540 are using 72 (71.928) or 48 (47.952) Hz with a HTPC for this baby. I have seen post's about it not displaying 72 Hz ? True ???

If this is true maybe 48 Hz is possible ???

I'm asking because I have built a HTPC and used it with a Sony VPL-CS1 and when you first have seen 72 Hz and no 3:2 jittering you can't go back ! And I think the VT540 is a really nice projector and I would like one - if it can do 72/48 Hz.

Thanks in advise,

Thomas.

The timing chart excludes VESA [email protected] (IBM [email protected] is listed but I don't know of an HTPC card like that). Nothing for 48Hz is listed (though anything below 60 would give me a headache anyway). I thought I read that someone was tinkering with the clock or some other settings on this or some other projector to force it into 72Hz, but I'm not willing to risk mine. I use [email protected] for the few DVDs that we watch and it works fairly well.
