Q. Strange shadows on Benq8700+

430 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Angeli662
I have noticed a shadow (drop shadow) around objects and people, It only happens when I use a DVD player (Bravo D1 or Samsung 941) with the Iscan HD+ at 480p in and 720p out, with HD signals looks good. I don't know if I am being very clear, but if you have used any design application like Photo Shop and apply drop shadow that is what I am seeing. any idea what it is and how to correct this? thanks

PS. I am using DVI for both imput and DVI out.

I found the problem the hard way.... after tweaking with with everything, I found the problem was tghe iscan HD+, I had the Y/C deley to 4 and should be 0.
Sounds similar to my sharpness question. I have just started using the iscan hd+ with an 8700 and am going DVI from a Denon. I can see a line around objects and people that I can make disappear by turning the sharpness level way down, but then the image looks fuzzy. Where did you find the setting to change on the iscan?

Thanks,

Troy
The setting for my problem was in the output setting menu, you que access this setting with the remote control (picrture control)
