G'day, folks.


Could anybody tell us how good 'component video switching' is on DENON AVR-5800 (AVC-A1SE) in terms of quality ?


I know the unit has one of the best quality, but I'm wondering if its component video switching is good enough to pass through 480p and high definition signals such as 720p and 1080i without deterioration in quality.

I have used the component video switching of my 5800 with 1080i on my system with no visible degradation. I also tried it with a Denon 3802 but there was a definite loss there.

Basically, the 5800 has enough bandwidth to pass through High-Def signals without degradation, right ??
