I just hooked up my qscan to my Sanyo 21n. I wanted to tweak the set-up with "Video Essentials". I previously had no problem passing the low IRE (7?) test when using the component inputs on the 21N. I hooked up to the Qscan's component inputs and am using the XGA output to the "computer In" side of the 21N.

I cannot set the black level like I could on the "video side". I also cannot get rid of what I would call a greenish hue even after tweaking the white balance.. Does anyone with this set-up have any advice. I am also told the qscan has component outputs available on the VGA pins. Will this be XGA rez? Can I just but a breakout cable and run those into the "video" side of the Sanyo?

Okay! I did some further research on this forum. I appears that the Enhanced Black level setting on my DVD player is to blame. I set it to normal and I recalibrated with no problem. I have also set the Qscan to its default settings for picture. I then tweaked the 21N with a fine adjustment done on the Qscan. I still sense a "green hue". I played with the white balance on the 21N and it is better but not perfect.

Anyone have any suggestions?
