I had some past experiences with AiW cards running on a larger Rear projection tv... and was left wanting more.

Recently, my 40 RPTV croaked, and I upgraded to a sone 57" HD monitor. After seeing being oustanding by the crapitude of Comcast's digital cable, and not wanting to pay the Sony Tivo and Accessories tax, I built a a new HTPC with an Radeon 8500DV this time.

I was pleasantly surprised at how stable the images were out of the box (connected via svideo). Not particularily clear, nor crisp... but stable none the less.

I was wondering if their DVI to Component Video adapter makes a signifigant difference... or if it's more monster cable joo joo.

Please advise.

(If it does make a big difference, I'll shelf the project until I can get my hands on one since there isn't much point tinkering until then)

Thanks.
