Please forgive me if this question has been asked before.

One of the primary reasons I'm interested in the 5000 is because I'm looking for the ability to permanently archive certain programs. From what I've been able to research on the 5000, it appears to have a usb port. Can anyone tell me if the USB port is active (my research on Tivo was confusing in regards to whether their ports were active or not) and if so is there a way to transfer data from the Replay to the PC.

Thank you for any information or links you can share with me

USB is not active @ this time.

Of course it has Ethernet which is faster than USB 1.1 for data transfer.

Word is the USB will be used for wireless USB (802.11 b) Network Devices... and I haven't seen any evidence yet it's USB 2.0... we all wish. :)
