Hi, I have a denon AVRS900W which is on my desk right beside my laptop, I would like to output sound only from my laptop to the unit so that I can still use the laptop's screen, what are my options for doing this?

I read something about using the 3.5mm headphone out to an RCA adapter and running it off the LR RCA channels on the back of the AVR?

Also, will my laptop have enough power for the AVR or does the AVR do all the work and just uses a signal from the laptop?

Yup, that'll work. :)

You will be using the amps in the AVR, doesn't matter.
