Hi all! Well, we finally bit the bullet. :D My dad ordered a 51" Sony KP51WS510 rear-projection hi-def TV, and it'll be coming in on Thursday. These next few days are going to be the longest days of my life... lol!

I was just wondering about the copy-controlled DVI input on this set. I wanted to know if one would be able to plug a DVI-based DVD player and/or an HTPC into this input, or if it was reserved for high-end HD tuners. I would really appreciate any input! Many thanks in advance!

I don't specifically know this TV, but you can plug in both a DVI based DVD player and an HTPC into copy controlled DVI inputs (aka DVI with HDCP).

A recommended DVD player today is Bravo D1 from www.vinc.com. Many new such players are on the horizon, see the link to DVD players from CES 2004 in my signature.

Thanks for the reply, Arun! I'll give it a shot by hooking up my DVI-enabled PC (not an HTPC, but that'll come... :D) to the TV. If it works, we'll probably put that port to use... thanks again!
