Question about Denon AVR-5800 component input/outputs

It is ok it run an HD signal (1080i) though these 3 inputs on the back of this receiver?? I had read that the component inputs didnt supply enough bandwidth to display a true HD signal properly.


Is there any truth to this??

The 5800's Component Inputs/Outputs have a 50MHz bandwith and can cope with 480p, 720p and 1080i signals. The newer models have 100MHz bandwith. I'm pretty sure even 30MHz is sufficient.


I suppose the higher the better, as I've seen figures of 300MHz quoted.
