I am watching a movie in Dolby Digital 5.1

Should the voices come from the center channel only? or you can hear the voice in the left and right speakers. in the center the voice is more present but it is on the other speakers as well.

Is this normal?

The short answer is "it depends on how the sound engineer mixed it." However, the center channel is the voice channel for talking heads or anything centered on the screen. If an actor is off to the right side of the screen (or left) then you might expect the voice to be coming from both the center and right front or even right side surround. At any rate, I don't think there is necessarily anything "wrong" with your setup to get this effect. Try a different DD source and see what happens...
