Question about filling a stage with sand

Hi All,

I am in the process of building my stage out of 2"X6" framing. The stage is 9' wide X 30" deep and has a radius front that measures 81" wide and extends out from the front an additional 10". I am filling the main part with play sand, but was unsure if I should also fill the radius front with sand or not. The main speakers (
Polk RT3000p ) and center ( Polk CS1000p ) will all be placed directly on the stage, but will not extend out to the radius front. I was going to just place fiberglass installation in the radius front and sand in the rest of the stage. What are your opinions on this?

Thanks guys for all your help.

Fill the whole thing with sand. It will keep the empty (fiberglass filled) cavity from being resonant.
