Ive never made them before and not familiar with the neutriks xlr..
I wondering if we are supposed to heat shrink the terminals after soldering? or does the strain relief nagate the use of heat shrink and act as a short circuit prevention at the same time, Thanks for your time!
If you strip to the proper length ( 1/2" jacket and less than 1/8" insulation, you shouldn't have to shrink the solder joints inside the connector. Of course, shrink is pretty.
