I'd like to be able to have two separate desktops (maybe more) that I can switch to with hotkeys or commandline. I would also like each desktop to have it's own separate icons. I would like to be able to use that feature along with powerstrip to have basically a standard desktop for everyday use and then a HTPC desktop for my main PC's second use...HTPC. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Hey -

One simple way to do this is to try using multiple log-ins in WinXP. That lets you have multiple users, each with a different desktop image, icons, start menu, etc.

Just a cheap simple thing to try - I don't know if it will do everything you need or not...

Good luck!

The fastest way I know is to hit the Windows key with the L key. That will take you back out to the user selection screen. There may be a more direct way to do it, but I don't know one...

Cheers,
