I have an ordinary kenwood amplifier. It has 2 outputs for speakers (not including surround) A and B. I want to install about 4 to 5 pairs of in ceiling speakers for background music in several rooms, each pair will have volume controls. What I cannot figure out is if i need a multi zone amp or can I hook them all up to the speaker B output? Some help would be appreciated.

In my previous home I used a Kenwood HT receiver for home theatre and whole house audio, 5 pairs of speakers off the B channel.

You need to get impedence matching volume controls, and if you follow the chart for setting the jumpers for the impedence of the amplifer and the common impedence for the speakers you can't go wrong.
