Question about Parasound Halo C1

418 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  bhuskins
I have read in some threads of those that have seen the new Parasound C1 that the

front video display is not of good quality. I really like the idea of the video display and the system truly looks great from the pics I have seen and the reviews have been awesome, but none of the reviews have mentioned the "poor" quality of the front TFT video monitor. Just wondering of those that have seen the C1, how "bad" is the front video monitor and does it truly detract from the C1 as a high-end quality SSP? The Parasound C1 truly seems like one of the best SSP on the market, and absolutely the best looking and feature ridden of the current SSP market, so it seems unusual that the front monitor would appear "cheap". Any other thoughts on the C1 other than the front video display?

Thanks

Garbage in - Garbage out

That holds true for the C1's display. I doubt that anybody that has previously criticized it did not take that into consideration. I find the display as good as the current portable DVD players available or even similar in quality to the in-dash DVD/monitor systems that are available from Alpine/Kenwood/Eclipse for your car. Is this the best way to watch a movie? NO. Does the screen serve its purpose? Most Definitely. Are there other PrePros that have a screen that looks better? NO. I think anyone considering the C1 will find the screen a definite plus. Also, you should place your C1 in a good location for optimal viewing. I would say the screen has about a 90 degree viewing angle.

I hope that helps.
