THis is my first post, but i have read things on this site tons of times before. it owns. anyway, i was wondering what tv is the best to get for aruond 7-9,000 dollars. My family was looking to get a plasma from sony the KE42XBR900KIT. I was wondering if there were any Plasma tvs that fully support all of the hd formats. also i was wondering if anyone who had hd direct tv knows what hd reciever is the best.

If you've read much in this forum, you know the sony plasmas are not well regarded. Fujitsu is considered the best, with panasonic and pioneer not far behind. All the plasmas in the 7k-9k range support all hd formats. As for directv, the zenith 520 is probably the best, and is basically the same as the sony 200. New versions of each are coming out soon, which should work out a couple minor kinks. Look here for more info.
