I'm a potential AE-100 buyer...

If I were to use a Toshiba SD3750 DVD with Audio Authority's 9A62 Comp. to VGA converter into the ae-100, how do I know that the ae-100 will see a wide 480 signal?

Or, am I misunderstanding this and the Wide 480 is just how the ae-100 looks at the analog image it is receiving from the 9A62, with enough "scrutiny" to resolve it at the max resolution it is capable of?

I'm kind of hoping someone here knows what I'm asking, 'cause I don't know how to word the question...

Bent, the AE100 works great with the AA transcoder, I know because I just installed mine yesterday using Progressive output from my Panansonic RP91. Make sure you set the Priority of the PC Options to Wide instead of the default of Normal in the AE100. The SD3750 is a progressive player so it will output 480P via the component cables supplied with the AA. Make sure you also switch the AA from the default setting to the other setting with the switch on top of the AA. I bought my 25' VGA cable from pccables.com and everything works great, a much sharper, cleaner image than I was getting from the component inputs on the AE100. Hope this helps, and happy viewing.

Choose PC PRIORITY = WIDE and it should work if your're connected through the VGA port.
