Is is possible to hook up a PC using the HDMI/DVI connection? I use my PC for DVD's and gaming. I know the 500U has VGA but i don't think it will price drop. Is the 50U just not meant to be connected to a PC at all?
As long as your graphics card on your computer has DVI out and you buy an HDMI to DVI cable I would think you will be in good shape. You would need this type of cable because the 50U only has HDMI in.
HDMI is the exact same as DVI except the HDMI has audio also.
The scan frequencies of the PC input connection for the 500Us is compatible with most home computers. HDMI is not intended to be used as a PC connection and most likely will produce rather poor results. If one wants to use their PDP as a PC display monitor, why not just buy a TV that supports this feature?
