I have an AIW 9600xt with two VGA outs. I would like to hook my PC up to my DLP TV via DVI. My question is where does the digital to analog conversion take place, in the video card or at the TV. If the conversion is in the video card then I guess it would be no use for me to get a VGA to DVI cable.

sisert,

The video card has already done a digital to analog conversion to take the digital signal

and turn it into an analog format - namely VGA.

You would need an ADC - an analog to digital converter - to take it back the other way.
