question for denon 3801 owners

Why can I not use the remote to access any of the tuner functions? Am I missing something? I read the manual several times and the arrow keys have no effect.

You need to press the RECEIVER button a couple of times until the LCD says TUNER.

I owe you one. I reread the manual and it is somewhat obvious after you know the answer. Got to love the Japanese to English translation.
