Hi, I have a 7.1 Setup and i'm thinking to upgrade to Atmos 4 ceiling speakers but I have a question where will the wires be insert on the https://www.eu.onkyo.com/en/products/tx-nr575e-137838.html Amplifier all the speakers output are used ? or i'll need to Bi-amp ?

And another question please right now I'm watching a lot of movies that has two audio stream:

1- Atmos 7.1
2- Dolby EX 6.1 which it outputs to 7.1 and i use Dolby Surround for option.

I keep switching between Atmos and Dolby EX to hear the difference. When i'm watching on Atmos ( I know i don't have the speakers but it could still be played) I barely hear effects or surround coming from either the Surround backs or the Surrounds all effects at the front towers.

When playing the dolby EX even if its only 6.1 I could tell its much better I hear 360* sounds effects thunders gun shot etc.. from my back surrounds going all the way down to the fronts its like i'm in a real cinema I can't tell which speakers is currently playing because sound all over the room.

I know some will say then just stick what you like, but i'm trying to only understand why is the difference, is't that Atmos effects will be only coming from the high new Atmos speakers ? no use of the surround backs for effects ? if yes then not worth the upgrade thats why im telling this to understand the Atmos first before upgrading YouTube videos won't let me able to 100% hear the channel source so i tried.

That receiver can't process 4 Atmos channels, only 2. If it runs 7.1, then it can't process any Atmos at all.....

You will need to upgrade the AVR to a 9 or 11 channel receiver.
Denon AVR X-4400/4500H

Thanks i’ll be getting one soon then, but since the Onkyo RZ-630 runs a AccuEQ I’ll need to switch now but haven’t used any Yamaha or denon before are they similar the setup settings or i’ll find a hard time in the beginning?

Denon's are very user friendly. The Menus are easy to access for any adjustments you want to make. There will be a learning curve with audyssey, but there is a lot of very useful information in the audyssey thread. I have very limited experience with Yamaha, but from what I've heard isn't too complicated either.

I'd still take the free AVR. You don't have to use it. You can always re-sell it or use it in a different setup.

To be fair, I think a lot of the issues you were/are having with AccuEQ is more to do with your speaker placement (i.e. having a couch *directly* in front of your left tower, which was blocking more than half of the drivers, so the mic was really only picking up sound coming from the tweeter and thinking it was a significantly less capable speaker by setting a ridiculously high crossover point... amongst other various issues plaguing your space).

Maybe, but I am certain that the issues in your room, and speaker placement has a lot to do with your problems with AccuEQ. I know anecdotal accounts aren't much proof of anything, but from a personal standpoint, the only time AccuEQ has ever set a crossover point at 120Hz+ for me was when I had very small HTiB speakers hooked up.

That being said, if you're more comfortable with Audyssey, go with that instead. I would be curious to see the results you get running that calibration software compared to AccuEQ.

No idea, I only have a 5.1 set up, so I couldn't give you any opinion on the difference. If I were to guess, though, if you've opted for the 5.1 stream with your 7.1 set up, I imagine that all of the surrounds play the same signal rather than each of the surround types handling different signals in the full 7.1 audio stream.

If you are having a hard time discerning the difference, that could be speaker placement I believe the ideal placement for surrounds is 1-2 feet above ear level, and pointed at your main listening position. https://www.crutchfield.ca/S-qdII46...88163&awdv=c&awkw=&awmt=b&awnw=g&awug=9001332

Your AVR would upmix to 7.1 if setup as such.
