I'd jump on the PX31 quickly if I were you for that price. It replaced the PX30 a few months back...price was 10K. At 2800 lumens it's probably over kill for most home applications, but you can always turn the light out put to low ( I think it drops to like 2000 lumens which will also double your bulb life). You might also have someone calibrate it for you as most of the Sonys are a tad "green" out of the box.
